Construction of the new Millbrae Recreation Center is moving along rapidly and the concrete foundation is ready to be poured.

The concrete is scheduled to be delivered and poured on Wednesday, April 7th, and Friday, April 9th, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. This is due to the amount of concrete that needs to be poured and the time it takes for both the placement and finishing of the concrete.

To watch the pouring of the concrete on our live construction camera, click here:

During these times, more than 100 concrete trucks will travel to and from the site’s two access points at Lincoln Circle and Laurel Ave. While no streets will be closed, traffic delays due to slow moving trucks and minor traffic control measures are expected.

This will most impact: Millbrae Ave. to Laurel Ave.; and, Meadow Glen, Magnolia Ave., Richmond Dr, to Lincoln Circle. Maps are attached that show the travel routes for both access points.

High noise levels are expected at and around the construction site both days as the trucks and pouring equipment are loud.

We apologize for any inconvenience and disturbance the traffic delays and noise may cause, and thank you for your patience as this important work is completed.

We look forward to completing the foundation work and making more progress toward the completion of the new Millbrae Recreation Center.
